4 Uses for Dandelions: No Chemicals Allowed!
- Martha Stewart’s Dandelion Jelly – with only 5 ingredients you can get rid of an entire yard full of dandelions and eat it with your toast every morning.
- Raw or Boiled Dandelion Greens – Cooked or uncooked, but either way washed thoroughly, the greens contain significant amounts of nutrients. - Eat Your Flowers – Most people don’t realize you can also eat the sweet dandelion flowers raw or make them into a light tea. Remove the green leaves still attached to the flower head for the best taste.
- Let the Yard Eat Your Flowers – Make a weed tea for your soil to return the nutrients without re-seeding by putting your pulled weeds into a cheesecloth sack (or other permeable material) and let it sit in water for 2-4 weeks. More information on natural fertilizer here.
